Circular Place recognised as an environmental best practice by the CEOE

The Circular Place platform has been included in the Catalogue of Environmental Best Practices of Spanish Companies 2025 published by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE), which highlights business initiatives that contribute to sustainability and the ecological transition.

The project appears in the circular economy category as an example of collaboration between Collective Extended Producer Responsibility Systems (SCRAPs). The initiative involves Ambilamp, Ecoasimelec, Ecofimática, Ecolec, Ecolum, Eco-Raee’s, Ecotic and the European Recycling Platform.

Circular Place is a digital marketplace that facilitates the donation of surplus electrical and electronic equipment that is new or fully functional to social organisations and vocational training centres, promoting reuse and preventing their destruction.

Since its creation, the platform has enabled nearly 100,000 electronic devices to find a second life, helping to prevent waste and reduce the environmental impact associated with the manufacturing of new devices.

This recognition reinforces the role of Circular Place as an innovative circular economy tool, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
